Merch Store
n 2026, Edmonton was selected as the host city for the Youth Challenge Nationals 5-Pin Bowling Championship. To support the event, a new logo was developed to capture the spirit of both the tournament and the host city, alongside a custom online merch store for branded apparel and promotional products.
Following the initial creative brief, the branding direction was defined as bold, fun, bright, and simple, while maintaining a strong connection to Edmonton. The logo also needed to incorporate the host city name, event year, the Canadian 5-Pin Bowlers’ Association icon, and include a French version for bilingual use.
An initial concept was presented and further refined through collaboration with the client. The final design draws inspiration from Edmonton’s iconic Walterdale Bridge, creating a recognizable visual connection to the city. The flowing “S” element also reflects the North Saskatchewan River that runs through Alberta’s capital.
Once the branding was finalized, an online merch store was launched, allowing attendees and supporters to purchase pre-approved event merchandise ahead of and during the championship.
